Advancing Your Data Strategy and Governance
Developed a comprehensive data governance strategy for an enterprise tech consultancy pursuing AI-native transformation. Evaluated data maturity using IT-CMF, DAMA-DMBOK, and FAIR principles, identifying siloed systems, inconsistent governance, and stale data as key blockers. Proposed a hybrid governance model with centralised oversight and decentralised data stewards, an ETL-driven unified data catalogue, and a phased roadmap from MVP pilot to a scalable North Star architecture with ML-powered predictive analytics. Included ADKAR change management planning and SMART goal deliverables.

Integrating Machine Learning and AI to Drive Business Value
Built an ML model to validate that written communications are age-appropriate, addressing a gap in an existing public sector AI application. Followed the CRISP-DM lifecycle from business understanding through deployment. Trained and compared multiple supervised regression models (Linear, Ridge, Lasso, Decision Tree, Random Forest, XGBoost, Stacking) using Flesch-Kincaid readability metrics and linguistic complexity features. Applied feature engineering, correlation analysis, and GridSearchCV hyperparameter tuning to achieve production-ready accuracy. Selected Ridge Regression for explainability in a public sector context.

Cybersecurity and Software Development
Evaluated and redesigned the security architecture of a cloud-hosted enterprise application. Conducted threat modelling using STRIDE, mapped endpoint vulnerabilities with CVSS and OWASP calculators, and proposed a zero-trust network segmentation strategy aligned with NIST CSF, Azure CAF, and ISO 27001. Identified critical lateral-movement risk in a flat network topology and recommended Private Link adoption, RBAC enforcement, and segmented zones to reduce attack surface.

Driving Business Value with Data Engineering
Designed and built an ETL pipeline proof of concept to unify fragmented workforce data from three siloed business systems. Conducted diagnostic, statistical, comparative, and predictive analysis to quantify operational inefficiencies. Architected a modular three-tier solution (Angular frontend, Python business logic, PostgreSQL data tier) with a fully normalised database schema mirroring production API documentation. Used synthetic data for GDPR compliance, demonstrating a plug-and-play path to production.

Managing Software Transformation Projects
Authored a full project proposal for an AI-enabled CV writing assistant pilot, from root cause analysis through to delivery methodology and budget. Applied Fishbone diagrams and 5 Whys to identify systemic governance failures. Evaluated four solution options via cost-benefit analysis, selecting an M365 Copilot Studio approach for strategic fit and ROI (358% over 3 years). Designed a hybrid Water-Scrum-Fall delivery methodology combining PRINCE2 governance gates with Agile sprints. Produced full requirements, MoSCoW prioritisation, WBS, and REACH change management strategy.

Cloud Computing and Scalable Architectures

Building a full-stack cloud-native application on Azure using Infrastructure as Code. The project includes an ETL pipeline extracting CV/skills data into PostgreSQL, a FastAPI backend, a React frontend, and Terraform provisioning of all Azure resources (Container Apps, PostgreSQL Flexible Server, VNet with Private Endpoints, Key Vault, Container Registry, Static Web App). Deployed via Azure Pipelines CI/CD with OIDC authentication.
